Posted On: 03/16/2016
We are so excited to match up this Thursday's blog posting with the New Hampshire Music Festival (NHMF) season announcement! This classical music festival, set in Plymouth, had a partnership with us last year to offer shuttle rides to orchestra goers. The NHMF continues to expand its musical concerts each year, and we are so glad to be able to call them our friends and partners. We're sharing some excerpts from their press release from this week so you can start planning your summer early!
This season of the NHMF is centered around cultural richness and diversity. The programming explores music and art from places like Germany, Uruguay, Russia, Mexico, Brazil, Vienna, Italy, and then back to our native soil with composers like Aaron Copland. The NHMF has even taken back ownership of the Make Music Plymouth event which will be happening on July 23rd. Plymouth welcomes performers of all genres to busk on Main Street from 11am to 4pm. In previous years, they have held mass events for ukulele, guitar, and harmonica players as well as jam sessions on the Town Common to bring musicians together after a long day of music making. This season looks like a great opportunity to enjoy the warm weather in tandem with the talented performers who will be flocking up to central New Hampshire this summer.

MUSIC IN THE MOUNTAINS
Our Music in the Mountains Series is inspired by the “Hut Concerts” of the 1970s era NHMF. Sunrise and Sunset Concerts in the mountains and Lakes Region will be announced throughout the summer. These events include Campground Concerts in collaboration with the White Mountains Interpretive Association and the White Mountain National Forest.
Visit www.nhmf.org for full season details and updates. All programs and artists subject to change.
