LRAS Insta: Photos for DaysPosted On: 06/25/2015
According to the next generation of high school kids, Facebook is dead. Facebook feeds and dashboards are a thing of the past because filtering photos to share with the world is so much more important to them. In an effort to offer more coupons to our Lakes Region Shuttle families, we offer 20% to riders who tag us in their vacation photos on with the hashtag: #LakesRegAirportShuttle! Young Instagram photographers are making beautiful artwork with their photos in the realm of the "creative commons" on Instagram and Flickr and we like that our travel services have helped to bring that artwork about! In today's LR Blog posting, we want to share with you what our Instagram has looked like for the past few months, as well as to share some information with you about this application.
If you search #NewHampshire today on Instagram, the top three kinds of photos you will see are pictures at Hampton Beach (especially of the sand castle competition) or Portsmouth, pictures of scenic mountain spots only reached by hiking trails, and photos of lake views! We love to look at the photos under this hashtag especially to see photos of the region. There are quite a few members who have gained acclaim through their New Hampshire photo skills and we love to #repost those artistic triumphs! Here are a couple of examples of Instagram accounts we’ve reposted:
The first is a photo during our winter snowstorms relating characters from the final episode of the fourth season of Game of Thrones climbing this big, icy wall to a little boy playing outside in the snow on a snow day. We found this photo set to be pretty hilarious so naturally, we shared it to our audience too! The second photo is from the Children's Museum of New Hampshire. They are always posting great photos of children in the community partaking in projects or events at the museum. Their account is a great one to follow!
Here are some of our own postings! The first is a picture we recently posted about our partnership with the New Hampshire Music Festival in Plymouth! We are sharing our shuttle services that take Lakes Regioners to the Bank of NH Pavilion in Gilford to enjoy a screening of The Wizard of Oz backed by the live festival orchestra! You can just give us a call, tell us where your seats are, and it’s $20 a person to get a ride to the show!
The next photo is a little something we’ve been doing lately with our Lakes Region post-it notes. We love sharing travel quotes that inspire you to move about the world enjoying other regions and cultures! Plus we share photos that celebrate holidays, tell you what the next blog topic is for the week, and we share photos of our logo at the events where we take part. The last photo is a picture we took at Hermit Woods Winery in Meredith where our logo was displayed for a New Hampshire Music Festival gala. You can see the outline of Donato Cabrera, music director for the festival and for the Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra, talking to the wine-tasters about their classical music season!
If you want to be a part of the Lakes Region Shuttle Insta postings, please send us photos of your summer vacations! We love to see those awesome Insta filters! But subscribe to us here at the LR Lately Blog for more Lakes Region content!
