A Guide to Halloween in Manchester

Halloween is almost here! Lakes Region has pulled together a guide for you to make the most of your time in and around Manchester, New Hampshire. From Trick or Treating tips to haunted houses and hayrides, you won’t want to miss out on these fun events!

Perhaps the most classic Halloween activity, Trick or Treating is alive and well in New Hampshire. Don your best costume, grab your jack o’ lantern, and venture out into the night under autumnal colored trees. Be sure to check out local times for Trick or Treating. Manchester’s time slot is on Tuesday, October 31st from 6-8 pm. Grab your friends and family and prepare for a night of spooky fun!

New Hampshire has some of the best haunted houses around. Cannobie Lake Park’s annual Scream Fest is one of the best of the best. In nearby Salem NH and taking place every weekend from September 23rd to October 29th, join the crowds for rides, live entertainment and haunted houses. If you’re attending with younger children, there’s also a significantly less scary zone and a petting zoo. Another great option is SpookyWorld presents Nightmare New England, which has five haunted spots, including a spooky hayride that is sure to make you jump. Also onsite are batting cages, go-karts, and mini golf, which are all the more fun if you come dressed in costume! For a true adventure, North Conway ski resort’s The Ghoullog hosts an annual haunted thrill ride you’ll never forget on Fridays and Saturdays from September 23-October 28. For athletic adventurers, the Candia area hosts Haunted Acres from October 1st until November 5th. Their ”Area 52” includes five areas of haunted halloween fun, including spooky nighttime zipline, ropes course.
