This Winter is Going to the Dogs!

The Lakes Region’s own “call to the wild” Championship Sled Dog Derby will be taking place February 12th-14th. Spend your Valentine’s Day weekend cheering on some canines and their competing humans in one of the Lakes Region’s favorite winter events!

Don’t forget to bundle up for this event! It should be a great (also cold) venture with the Six-Dog races working 15 mile runs around Laconia. The Lakes Region Dog Sled club has links for people who want lodging in the area, info about their raffle, auction, and button contest! Patrick’s Pub and Eatery will be selling just 100 tickets at their location for some lucky participants to win $500, $1000, or $2000 that weekend! All proceeds go to continue the Sled Dog Championship events each year in Laconia.
