Today is Valentine’s Day and here in New Hampshire, many of us have spent the last week stuck inside with the people we love. For some people, that is celebration enough and you’re ready to see someone who isn’t your loved one. However, it is still that time of the year where we recognize our Valentines, so let’s forget that they’ve been annoying us for days.
Valentine Concert at Pitman’s Freight Room
Pick out a bottle of wine for yourself and your loved one and head to this “BYO” concert at 7pm where The Heather Pierson Valentine’s Show will be performing. The doors open at 6pm and it’s a $20 charge at the door. According to The Laconia Daily Sun listing,
“Heather Pierson is an award-winning pianist, multi-genre singer/songwriter, arranger, bandleader, and performer. From New Orleans-style jazz and blues to rousing Americana and poignant folk narratives, Heather’s live performances move seamlessly and effortlessly from one style to the next, and a growing catalog of wildly divergent CD releases reflects her boundless creativity. Joining Heather for this concert are Davy Sturtevant on cornet and guitar, Shawn Nadeau on upright bass, and Craig Bryan on drums and percussion.”
Valentine Wellness
Studies show that more and more adults are turning to yoga to escape the stresses of the current political climate in our country. Surprise your loved one with some Valentine wellness and pay the drop-in rate to attend a local yoga session. The Gordon Nash Library in North Hampton is hosting Yoga with Shannon at 10:30 in the morning. For evening classes, check out Yoga From the Heart in downtown Laconia. Their schedule offers afternoon and evening classes like gentle flow, yoga basics, and all levels. If your Valentine is stressed from snowfall, this could be a great choice for a present.
The Gift of Transport
If you’re stuck in deciding how to make your Valentine feel special today, consider a day of ride coverage from us at the Lakes Region Airport Shuttle. It could be a round trip ride to and from work one day this week, a weekend of shuttles to go shopping, or a shuttle down to Boston to see a Red Sox game this summer. Give us a call while you still have time at 1.888.386.8181.
